Former Physician Accused of Sexual Assault Charges Against Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care

Legal authorities report that a ex- doctor stands accused of performing assaults against thirty-eight victims who were under his care.

Details of the Grave Charges

Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with numerous sexual offences – some of which involve acts against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.

A senior prosecutor commented, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to assist a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to determine that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”

Scope of the Investigation

The charges come after what investigators called a “complex investigation” into alleged assaults at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.

Spencer is due to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

The charging documents outline the forty-five sexual offences he is charged with:

• 15 counts of assault.
• 17 counts of assault by penetration.
• Nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
• 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
