In a bizarre partnership that breaks usual expectations, the game developer has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Disclosed

According to the authorized statement, "A strange encounter pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome changes resonate through the shadows." The plot presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine cult.

The mission concentrates on "bizarre trials and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Transformations

The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Prizes and Extra Material

Players who finish the quest will acquire an exclusive katana alongside multiple items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
